00:04:02 um flipped over in I believe Montgomery Alabama leaving leaving a show so I know that families in morning but she was a a big time Superstar so I just wanted to make sure I acknowledged her not not a problem man Angie Stone is I like her music been listening to her for a long time and really had some hopes of doing something with her I was really saddened to hear what happened with her and that kind of thing so um shouts go out to her family and everyone and our prayers and everything goes out to miss Stone now I got a fun fact for you what’s that do you know what all hip hop
00:04:40 group all female hip hop group she started with she started all female hip hop group all female back in the day you know it was a hip-hop group or no it was a hip-hop group she started off with a hip-hop group all female all female had to be salt and pepper nope I’ll give you one more one more shot at it all female hip hop group Angie Stone Angie Stone come on you you know your hip-hop you you a hip-hop kosur yeah you saying all female all they were considered the first all female hip-hop group oh you gotta tell me then I’m stuck okay all right they were called the sequence and they
00:05:31 had the big hit called funk you up oh well yeah you really went that he went in the crates on that one that was like you know that was back in the day with I mean I came out right around with the sugar head yeah that’s what I’m saying I was before I didn’t think Angie Stone was back that deep that’s why I didn’t go take I didn’t date her back to Sugar Hill Gang that’s why I said that yeah yeah most people just know her for for her uh you know no more rain and yeah and those hits you know in the late 1990s and even then I was gonna put her down with salt and pepper
00:06:05 I believe she was she came she came out before it sound like she was before Sal pepper she was back in the day with Melly Mel and Sugar Hill Gang at the beginning the beginnings of Hip Hop really yeah well that um that is an interesting fact and something I definitely didn’t know about so that’s a very good fun fact also I want to talk to um want to give a shout out we got another Gentleman on our program I’m so sorry I keep moving around y’all so I got another Gentleman on our program today we want to um introduce he is our bought him on to help me out and do some stuff around
00:06:42 our office like he wears several hats around um such as such as I do so he G wear as many as I do I bought him on to help do some um creative content creating and he’s going to be doing our content creating and all our stuff for our podcast and for the stuff we do here on the radio show as well he is a uh he is going to be our ceoo our coo for strategic resources my consulting company and he’s also the executive producer of the podcast and these radio shows so everybody I want us to give a good shout out to Mr Ezekiel Parker welcome him to the program what’s good y’all hey Zeke Zeke
00:07:25 is part of our program man I wanted to bring him on um DJ so we can have him part of what we’re doing and everything he is part of our team to help us to keep things going and keep things moving as well he’s going to come on from time to time to give us some facts about some stuff that’s going on as well he is a millennial so we added a millennial to the Mi so we can have a different type of perspective about things that’s going on in this world so Zeke what’s happening in your world today sir um nothing much um I guess if we talking about current news or whatever I know I’m
00:08:03 supposed to really do my fault I know I’m supposed to really do like uh pop culture stuff but I just thought it was funny as uh Trump was discussing his tariffs on Fox News if you look at the right corner it had the Dow Jones going going down I when as I was walking in today somebody called and just told me it took a dive this morning so as we speak is going down so that that’s go and and it’s strange it’s funny you mention that because that that’s going to be a lot of our conversation today with our guest once he come on SO Zeke tell everybody what you’re doing with the
00:08:41 um business and your role and give us a little background about yourself so um about myself um I’ve been doing social media marketing uh content creation on my own for about five to seven years and um I mean it’s my first time ever being in a role of a COO but um I’m really excited for it um really grateful for the opportunity um and as far as the podcast goes we do have a special guest coming or as far as the radio show and podcast but on the 11th we have the legendary Ed Gall coming in oh you know what that is correct this correct we we do got a
00:09:29 guest coming in next week that’s going to be a special show go ahead go ahead go yeah yeah yeah um he’s just been in in Cleveland he’s a legend he’s U on the Fox8 ey team um he’s just been Fearless in uncovering the truth in the city he’ll walk right up on you Mike in your face um and he’s been doing that for years so I’m very excited and I’m glad that we we’re getting him on the show yeah it was funny um I wanted him to come on to the show so that we can talk a little bit about um what’s going on here in Cleveland as it relates to the Cleveland Browns the Browns are coming on
00:10:05 um and I I watched Fox8 News most of the time I do a I bounce around a little bit between Fox8 and 19 to get just the C the different two perspectives and one of the things I um been watching Ed Gall followed this Cleveland Browns situation and what’s been going on with the Browns and how they’ been um and this whole move with the art mode Dale law and if the Browns are staying if they’re leaving and that kind of thing so I I know he has a very good perspective on what was going on with that as well as there’s a couple other issues that’s going on in the city of Cleveland as
00:10:41 it relates to EMS and the service we get from that this Cleveland consent decree that’s coming up and whether we pay for that or not and all of that kind of stuff so I thought it was important for us to just kind of get some information and what’s good about it folks is that up here at wovu this is a call-in show so this ain’t our perspective and it ain’t as perspective he’s a reporter so if you got some questions it’s a good time we’ll be able to call in ask him some questions see if there’s something that he didn’t report because you can’t report everything so let’s
00:11:13 find out what Ed Gall has and will’ll go from there so I’m really looking forward to that program you know that’s going to be very very good there’s a couple other things that came up in the news that um we could talk about as well you know um there was um Cleveland City Council was having an issue with um the mayor as it relates to um dollars that were going to be spent they just finished putting the budget together for the city of Cleveland um they went through um a Reconciliation where they kind of go through everything and kind of move some money
00:11:45 around and come back to the table and try to work out what they can but at one point it believ that the city wanted to the mayor wanted to cut City Council budget as it relates to dollars that were going to be spent in the community and there was a little push back from City Council on that that was an article written in both um signal as well as cleveland.com you could check out that talk a little bit about that and from my understanding it seems like that you know they kind of work through
00:12:14 that process and got everything back and so it seems like those dollars for the community will be there so that’s a good thing a very good thing one of the other things that’s in the news that we want to talk about is Ohio had um Governor um had had asked for federal um approval for Medicaid you know the state of Ohio has officially requested Federal approval to implement work requests for Medicaid recipients this initiative aims to promote self-sufficiency and improve well being of Ohio Workers by requiring enable body individuals to engage in work and Community
00:12:52 activity to maintain their health care benefits so they’re saying you’re sick but you ain’t that sick wow gotta do a got to put up the sick meeting huh hey you remember back in the days people used to be uh getting workers comp and stuff and it used to be people who actually rode around and be trying to follow you and say hey I saw you out there raking your yard I saw you up there taking the leaves out the gutter you can’t be sick give us back our money from the state they used to do that you know and so what’s happening now is the governor is saying you know a lot of you
00:13:27 guys after Co every body became so sick you know it’s a new sickness yeah it’s out not the new sickness it’s the new sickness the new sickness is I can’t work in the office no more because I done got used to working at home and the doctor will give you an excuse and give you a letter to say Latif you need to stay at home brother you can’t work around people so what what that’s the new sickness and I think Medicare they trying to say brother y’all got to go back to work I just think people are taking that too far because there are legitimately people that you know have anxieties
00:14:02 and this was before covid that they can’t work around people or they freeze up they work better from home but I just think that a lot of people the majority of the people just got so comfortable working at home that now they’re trying to apply to be able to use that you know the new sickness to be able to stay at home but there’s legitimate people that have that issue but it’s not everybody not everybody it ain’t everybody and and he’s not going after everybody because everybody don’t get Medicare but it’s some out there that does and here’s the problem with everything every I I I
00:14:42 I was talking to um Pastor Phillips about that because I’m gonna jump to another subject real quick CA okay I do all of that sometimes but there I got two emails or two text messages sent to me last week one was the incident of of the police um incident that happened to the family out in Westlake with the girl who car got stolen and the police came out there and stormed their house and end up arresting her father and all of that I don’t know if you guys saw that but that was going around and that was out and that was live that happened here Fox 8 News covered it as well
00:15:20 as 19 so watch that and looking at that that was one of the texts I got and I got uh texts from a whole lot of brothers and sisters and just people in general man did you see that did you see that look how bad that was that was terrible then I got another text of that same day with President Trump JD Vance and zalinski in the over office and I looked at both of those and both of them was terrible and then I’m trying to judge like which one was the worst because God both of them was terrible of what’s happening and so I talked to feelers about and he was just like really
00:16:01 going off about the fact that hey you know this happened to you know this brother out there and they shouldn’t did that and I said I understand that too man but man it seemed like these days the next other illness and this why I brought this up is that everybody got this meanness that’s going on yeah that’s true it’s it’s what is it lack of lack of empathy lack of empathy lack of everything that sympathy empathy don’t care everybody just all the time is on a the police pulled up on that brother on 11 now they upset because the Kia boy been out there in West Lake acting crazy
00:16:36 and steing cars and everything so they on 11 the brother is on 11 because hell he’s on 11 because he’s a black man living in West Lake and he walked and that probably wasn’t the first time right and he wed the first time he got pulled over and he walked out the door and these guys coming at him and he tried to talk to them but they was not having it they really wasn’t they was not having and and that that was an issue Donald Trump sat there with what he did to that guy I felt really bad for the people and and this I’m I’m gonna go as far as to be this selfish to say this during
00:17:15 the war when they were going through this war and through this whole fight and everything I kind of was like man they just spending a lot of money they said this ain’t our fight this isn’t our thing we shouldn’t be in I’m I’m like everybody else on that you know I I really am I’m I’m like that with everybody else and but when I watched what happened this time what got me was that I looked at that and I said man this brother is sitting here really fighting for the freedom of his people I mean he there whether we like it or not he’s there because those people are looking
00:17:54 at that right so to the people that was over there that was hoping he was coming to to the White House to get some answers boy that didn’t look good for him and for the people who were on the other side who wanted it to look bad they were sitting back laughing at the fact that the United States did a whole 360 on what we were doing before and to make matters even worse JD Vance our vice president he actually told dude was like man you owe us an apology because of the fact that that you were campaigning just a few months ago against us that’s what he said and he said your
00:18:36 always an apology which mean you took all of whatever Your Righteous moral standing of why you wanted to do what you wanted to do and you turned that strictly into a political thing this is straight up politics broed to that’s what it seemed like and then they kicked him out they showed him getting in the car kicked him out man it was terrible now so do stuff like that that’s that’s the whole issue so I I don’t know that day I think America as a whole as a unit we look bad as a unit we look bad and so we gotta take a break man we’ve been sitting
00:19:13 up here rambling and everything been going off today huh we started off start off that was on my mind and that’s gonna be what we gonna talk about hopefully our guest and when he gets on he gonna tell y’all what he’s been doing just he just oh he’s in oh he’s in the house so he’s been there when we get back from this break he’s going to set the record straight because I’m really po I thought I was on my podcast I was about to really say something about what’s going on these days and we gonna get right back right after these messages Cleveland this is your show your

00:22:07 media Antoine cers break it all down with no spin just facts welcome to the game of [Music] politics all right all right we are back we’re gonna do some transitioning right now because I got the man he’s a busy man I ain’t gonna tell you what he text me to tell me why he was a little late coming on our show I’m gonna let him say that if he wants to but trust me y’all he’s a busy man now I want to introduce today’s distinguished guest joining us is Antoine seite a seasoned political strategist media consultant and founder of CEO of blue blueprint strategies LLC Antoine
00:22:49 has been an instrument has been instrumental in guiding numerous political campaigns across the nation state and local on local levels Beyond his Consulting work he’s a contributor insightful commentaries for media Outlets such as CBS News the hill and BuzzFeed news today he’s going to share his is his experience navigating through the complex landscape of politics and this segment we entitled how Politics the game of politics and how it’s played so Mr cite I want to welcome you to our program sir I can’t hear hello hey guys I can’t hear here uh oh can y’all hear me we can
00:23:34 hear you we can hear you yeah we hear you great uh oh Mr C is having a little technical difficulty right now hold on one second we’ll see if anything we could do can you hear no it still can’t hear us for some reason hey Mr C right I’m gonna have you I can’t hear you I’m gonna have you give us a call in in to our phone number that’s 216 27109 59 we’re going to have him call in to that number and we’ll be able to take care of that real quick with him so while we were talking and we getting Mr C right up on the line one of the discussions we were going to have today is we’re talking about
00:24:17 the fact that um Donald Trump and our president who’s going to be having a speech coming up very soon um is had um uh president Zin in his office this weekend and that conversation we’re good oops sorry about that your computer real quick okay he had uh um president zinsky in his office this weekend and the conversation went pretty bad all I think we’re in good shape now sorry people oh we gonna have you a call in if you can call in that number I sent can you hear me he you on the line oops I think I gave him the number so he’s gonna be giving us a call in so one of the
00:25:09 things we wanted to talk about again is that we had um president Zin and um um Donald Trump was in the White House and it was a very very heated conversation one of the things that I was very upset about this year was the fact that that information of how our country was looking and how it just didn’t fit well for for us at all so right now we got Mr C on the line and we’re g to tune him in real quick Mr C Ken and letis it’s good to be with the crew and I’m can y’all hear me now yes can hear you sir you hear us it’s good it’s good to be with y’all on this Tuesday
00:25:47 and I’m looking forward to Tuesdays to come yes sir I’m sorry about the little difficulty I was having this morning with my computer but I think we got it all together now so Antoine give us a little background about yourself and what’s been going on lately here in the white house we gon get to some of our questions telling everybody recently what you what You’ been going through and what You’ been doing so that get well I don’t want to spend a lot of time talking about me but let me just reiterate something I said at a church in Cleveland um like like weekend before
00:26:22 last we lost an election but we did not lose our purpose and if we particularly those of us of the African seed and the American son and daughter black Americans if we can survive 400 years from slavery to Jim Crow to Red lining uh to everything else in between if we can survive 400 years we can survive four and it doesn’t mean that we should not feel anger frustration confusion festivity does not mean that we should not uh feel a little anxiety it does not mean that we shouldn’t have our feelings but we also can’t lose sight of the bigger goal and the bigger goal is to make
00:27:02 certain that this country our community and the Constitution uh are better than it was for us than for our parents and our grandparents and we got to keep our eyes on the prize as John Lewis used to say to us so you know I was just talking about what happened this week with um the president and JD Vance and what was going on in the overal office um from your perspective and um the talks on the hills and everything about that what’s the feedback and what’s the sentiment of um what’s um to become out of that from your perspective well two two things in that regard can one you have
00:27:38 a spineless and a Shameless group of people um called Republicans who have all of a sudden want to crash and burn 80 plus years of foreign policy as we know it and you know it’s an issue when the criminy puts out a statement saying that the foreign policy movement in this country is in line with the desires of the Russian leader Vladimir Putin you know it’s a problem Ken and Latif when you have a for the first time the United States voted uh in favor of a resolution that simply says that Ukraine uh Russia was not responsible for starting the war in Ukraine so we’re in a crisis
00:28:24 on the foreign side and the domestic side and what you hear from from Republicans in Washington and across the country is the simple fact that they are buckling and bending the knee to trumpism no matter what that actually means for the future of our country no matter what that means for our place in the world they do not mind and so as a result you see the Ukraine meeting which should not have happened JD Vans an embarrassment to Ohio but also an embarrassment to this country and then you have Elon Musk who’s just doubling down on those efforts as well so let’s talk talking about
00:28:57 Elon Musk South Africa just passed a law to let the government take land without paying for it in certain cases the US is responsible for cutting Aid to South Africa as well during this process as well do you think these moves um will help fix the um injustices or do you think South Africa is going to be hurt um by the their economy will be hurt because of what the United States is doing well here’s what Africa as a whole South Africa and Ukraine have in common they all have something the West wants that Putin and China wants and so with Ukraine it’s going after their minerals which
00:29:34 is a big deal for the future of making money Elon Musk and then with South Africa it’s all the ass the natural assets they have and so I don’t think we know the long or short-term damage of some of the things that happened as a re recent but here’s what I do know Elon Musk who’s from there is causing a whole lot of damage here in the United States when you look at what he’s doing Kim in terms of cutting back government look we about to enter into hurric season could be one of the worst on record they laid off thousands employee of employees at the
00:30:04 agency we’ve seen planes come down in the sky they laid off FAA workers we’ve seen this measles outbreak in Texas and now New York they’ve laid off folks of those agencies 1,000 veterans uh in the middle of IRS season 15,000 IRS employees at HUD and every other agency and so we’re seeing the dissolving of federal government as we know it and keep in mind when they not if but when go after Medicare Medicaid and Social Security it’s not just going to impact Democrats it’s not just going to impact black people it’s not going to just impact old people it’s going to impact
00:30:37 everybody and then his recent political stunt of putting tffs on our tariffs on our neighbors to the North and South with Mexico and China and Justice Justin Trudeau the Prime Minister um of Canada just gave a speech talking about basically pushing back on Donald Trump very ballsy speech but look they’re gonna they’re going to make the cost of goods and services go up as a result of the tariffs unnecessary tariffs that Donald Trump has put in place in Mexico and in Canada you know one of the things I was watching the news today and one of the things they bought up was they
00:31:12 said that the average cost of a car would go up about $3,000 and the average cost for a pickup truck would go up to about $10,000 so that is real well here’s what’s connected to that Kim on day one Donald Trump said he was going to bring down inflation bring down the prices of gas goods and services as a result of his tariffs gas good and services are going to increase substantially in this country so what you’re paying the grocery store for eggs and so forth that’s going to go up even more and the fact of the matter is one of the things that we know to be true they have not
00:31:47 done one thing to bring down the prices of gas goods and services but they’ve done everything to drive those things up how do you think congress with this um debate that’s going over the debating over the budget allocations and the governmental shutdown looming on uh the 14th of March how should lawmakers navigate these budgetary debates or ensuring fiscal responsibility by addressing pressing National needs well I think two things you you’ve got to understand that this budget resolution that they passed last week and by the way Democrats voted against it every single one
00:32:22 of them including congresswoman shant Brown Congresswoman Mia saes Marcy capter as well as George B Greg lanon and others from the Ohio delegation but it paved away for the largest cuts to Medicaid in the history of this country and while Elon Musk makes $8 million a day off the government the average person on Medicaid is $65 a day wow and so while they are Paving the road for cuts to Medicaid and governmental programs you have people like Elon Musk getting over like a fat rat wow on the government the same government that he is trying to say we need to shrink you
00:32:59 know it says an executive order has expanded Elon M do Doge cost cutting programs acrost agencies including significant cuts to the USA ID forign Aid contract what potential benefits or challenges do you foree with the um extension cost cutting measures of the federal government you see that’s going to get any extens any more and and let me ask it this way you know because I guess it’s kind of confusing too when you hear some agency are actually doing it and then there’s some agencies that are actually fighting back how is that what’s the balance on that and with
00:33:37 this executive order is that something is that they have to do or or do they have means that they can be and when you hear people say oh you need to fight back can they really fight back against that well I think that when you talk about fighting let’s talk about fighting from a Democrat perspective I want people to be clear that we are fighting with alligator arms tied behind our back they the house the Senate and the presidency and so when you hear people in the community saying Democrats ain’t doing nothing that’s not true it’s just Trump’s strategy of Ram Jam and screw
00:34:07 Ram everything down the American people’s throat jam up the news cycle and screw anyone who is in the pathway is the strategy to implementing so as a result the new cycle tends to chase everything that he’s talking about just yesterday George B and Maxine Watters had a press conference with several thousand um housing Advocates down at Hood nobody talk talk about that on the news it didn’t even make the news yesterday right uh there’s been a press conference and events every single day since almost since Donald Trump has been sworn in by house Democrats and Senate Democrats and even
00:34:40 around the country but it has not made the news so I don’t want people to think nothing’s being happening but in terms of push back at agency level there’s some agencies can that by law cannot submit five things they’ve done today because it’s a matter of National Security but when you have a bill unelected billionaire unchecked who does not understand how Democratic Republic uh operates he’s going to try to run government like a business and government should not be ran like a business because a business is about profit government is about people yeah that’s that
00:35:11 is definitely true and is have not been doing and speaking of that in the Press I was watching also where I heard that he is now picking handpicking the people that he wants to be part of the press court now as well and and and kicking out folks who have been there who’s been really giving real news that you can depend on and um you can trust to now a new group of people hence the gentleman who was in the room who yelled those um things about zinsky not wearing a suit so um how do you think the media and you know what kind of gets me is how how can if the media basically
00:35:49 has a a foothold on controlling these things why aren’t they getting these things out it seemed like the media would want to get that out why aren’t they well because they’re they’re they’re they’re following the shiny object and the shiny object is whatever the president of the United States says but Ken here’s why I’m pissed off with the media as a whole okay think about this when Joe everything that Joe Biden did you did not hear one single thing about the accomplishments and so forth every negative everything Donald Trump does they report on everything now just imagine
00:36:20 if the news cycle would have been controlled the same way it is now when we when we lowered the price of insulin when we cut black child poverty in half when we gave 27 billion do HBCU when we gave $1,700 up to $3,500 a month checks and so just imagine if that would have been the reporting of the news cycle like they’re reporting on what Donald Trump is doing it would be a different ball game in the white house right now and and that’s why it’s so frustrated but but but but on that note D um on that note K what I see happening is an autocracy as we know it and
00:36:58 and they are trying to not only control government but control what people listen to what they hear and what what is getting reported on and that’s the danger about where we are Ken you’re a smart man and I’ve been knowing you for some time now but 10 years a decade after um Franklin signed the Constitution he was met outside of constitutional Hall in Philadelphia by lady and I can’t remember her name but historians say that she was a doctor and she asked the famous question do we we have a monarchy or do we have a republic and Franklin looked at her in the
00:37:33 face and said a republic if we can keep it and the words if we can keep it should be our charge today as it has been since the day we signed that Constitution that’s why all these guard rails that we have put in place up until Donald Trump became president we’ve got to stand firm on those things that’s why when I said many times traveling across the Cleveland the northeast Ohio Northeast Ohio area and across the country that all progress ain’t permanent and just because we enjoy certain things now don’t mean we will be able to enjoy them forever and if you look at what
00:38:09 they are done they’re rolling back progress not prices that’s correct nothing went down everything seemed to go is going up these days it seemed like the only thing that uh um did go down is the um the Dow Jones I think it is crashing I think that’s the only that is going down let me ask you about his um executive order to change English to be the um official language of the United States uh H how do you think that’s going to play out well it’s just red meat um it’s just red meat for the base the same way he he said he’s going to focus on immigration create this immigration
00:38:49 Zar and all that and and and keep in mind they criticize Barack Obama for Catch and Release well guess what all their most of their Catchings have been when it comes to the Border spin C and release and the numbers that they said they had are simply not true because they’re releasing these people right back and so what he is doing is trying to check boxes to feed the red meat base of the Republican Party extremist and that’s what that is English as a language executive orders in this case don’t mean much you know why because think about the fastest growing population in this
00:39:21 country right know right and so that’s that’s all this this this is a target to feed the base well you know doing very good at doing that that’s for sure he he he makes sure he gets those things out some stuff he he probably know he can’t get accomplished anyway he’s just doing that just to go ahead and get things going so I believe just to say that he did it and de feed the base as well so Mr cite what I want you to do man if you don’t mind man I want you give us your closing remarks of what you w to leave us with where you think we ought to do if there’s something or some
00:39:53 things we ought to be doing please I’m G give the um give you this opportunity to give us your clo before we go to our break well K I want to say this first of all thank you man um the uh every major movement in this country has had some key elements successful movement has had key elements had black people on the front line men and women has had the black church has had black organizations has had in some cases white people but it also has had the black press what you’re doing here with this program and I’m happy that you included me into this on Tuesdays is going to
00:40:28 be so important for empowering and uplifting our people with the most powerful Source you can have other than money that’s information and so this is important so I want to thank you for that secondly the next step for us as Democrats first of all we have to listen more than we talk and so I’m going to be reaching out to you and the congresswoman and others about doing a small version of a listening Tour all across Northeast Ohio to make certain and across this country and I’m going to be taking part of to make sure we hear from folks about what’s important to them but the third thing
00:40:59 is we’ve got to get back to the basics and so back to the black men Gatherings that we were doing we’ve got to get back to those we’ve got to hear from people we can’t just assume that people know what’s going on and we certainly can’t just keep talking to the same people over and over so we’ve got to meet people where they are and listen more than we talk and so my advice to people who are listen to this program listen more than you talk allow people to vent and express their frustration but don’t ask iiz too much organize a lot that’s excellent that’s excellent everybody that’s anine
00:41:34 seite he’s going to teach us the art of politics in his section we in his little segment we’re g to be doing is the game of politics with Antoine cite and that’ll be coming to us right here on wovu 95.9 FM Mr cite thank you for coming on our program and everybody when you get back we’re GNA have our final thoughts on a few things and we’ll be right back Cleveland this is your show your topics and your voice join me Kow for what’s on your mind Tuesday on 95.9 FM wovu call in and comment on social media let’s make this conversation Unforgettable streaming live at w.org

00:44:36 program and him I have him and a few other um so um we calling them contributors who come on to our program and they’re going to be coming on every week to try to just give us different information and knowledge that we can have and we’re g to have a few other guests that drops in in between that as well uh just reminding everybody next week we’re going to have Ed gag in on the program and we’re going to talk about the Cleveland Browns and a few other issues that are going on in Cleveland right now we do have the radio lines open if you want to call in and have anything that you want to
00:45:10 say today the Callin number is 26271 0959 that’s 216 271 0959 you can call in and if you got any comments you want to leave you can leave us a comment and we will get your comment up if you have anything you want to say about our program or any thing is called what’s on your mind Tuesday that gives you an opportunity to tell us what’s on your mind so um after listening to everything that we went through today um what’s your thoughts Mr Latif on some of the stuff Mr cite was talking about here y I thought he was um he was spot on you know um I know that the Democrats gota kind
00:45:50 of regroup because you know they don’t have any control in all three uh levels of government you know between the I would say between the Senate the house and the presidency you know is kind of a a wash but you still got to do all that you can you got to start on the Grassroots level you know like he said keep having these black men meetings um keep you know going out there and speaking because you know next thing you know is you know midterms and then we’ll be right in the same predicament we was before if we don’t start now so I think he’s right in just pushing forward and
00:46:36 doing what you got to do and just start pointing out everything that’s wrong what’s going on so it could be a level of Correction so we need a whole lot of Correction a whole lot of Correction a whole lot of Correction that’s for sure and and and not just nationally because we talked a lot today was our national day where we were going to talk about what’s going on nationally with Donald Trump and what we got going but locally we have to do the same thing because there’s a lot of little things that’s going on in our community where we can do better and and those are the things
00:47:12 that we need to kind of work on ourselves and that was the thing that I was talking about the little thing we can do is we can try to act like we got some compassion for each other a little bit I think that don’t cost us nothing I think especially the way things are going to be going to get a lot worse before it gets any better and the people who’ been through it who understands how rough it’s going to be you going to have to get through it here goes something else I want us to keep in mind and reason why I said that is because you during all of this stuff that’s going
00:47:42 on with Donald Trump and the layoffs and stuff and when I talk about our mindset of the people and what we need to do as individuals you know the layoffs that are happening here in government and the way they talk about the government government workers and stuff like that to make it it seem as if government workers are not really working hard they talk about the corruption and the thefts and all the other stuff and people are stealing and all of this stuff but every business they stealing
00:48:13 from they they they still from Walmart they steal from Amazon they steal from the they still people still I mean and not just the people walking in the door but the people that work for these places people don’t do that but the mindset of us that we have to do better and start thinking better is something that we need to do there’s people who knows that there because if you think about it man just think about this guys one day in one day thousands of people were laid off from work crazy thousands just like that but here goes the worst part of the T those people who got laid off when
00:48:54 they went home right and they came home and they went in their house they cuz when you work for the government it ain’t like you living in you making so much money they live right next door to you do you see what I mean they these are neighbors these ain’t like these are neighbors that work for the government and stuff but there’s people who’s actually neighbors who’s probably sitting back like you know what I ain’t think they were doing nothing anyway they should have got laid off they should because government because they in the mindset that government doesn’t do anything
00:49:23 and that’s terrible and that’s the part that I think we have to change but everybody could say somebody’s not doing nothing at their job but they don’t know what they’re doing or what their responsibilities are so I think that you know people have to consider that that person is doing their job unless they’re pointed out of not doing their job or been reprimanded or went through the process which they would have been fired or laid off or reprimanded that you gotta kind of if that person didn’t kept his job all this time he must be doing something he must be needed in
00:50:02 some capacity and then when you layoff all those people and you see all the problems and the holes that those layoffs cause then you could be you could say like well maybe we we did need these people so I just think that a lot of these layoffs are unnecessary or they shouldn’t be done you know so of the cuff so impulsive impulsive layoffs I just think that it’s not the ticket it’s not the way you do things well and the other side of it is anything that you do being revenge for is that because they I I think at some point the whole thing was let me get back at the people
00:50:45 who I think did me wrong and that could have been black folks minorities and others and and in that the math just ain’t MTH laughing because I was tell them it’s more of them than it is of us so you know and and it’s more of them on public assistance than us it’s more you see what I mean so with that being the case when you punish you punish more of them than you punish us and we ain’t got nothing so when you ain’t got nothing you ain’t got nothing people you can’t afford to lose anything got but you you but you ain’t got nothing the people who a got the people who can’t
00:51:22 afford to lose it are the people who don’t know how to live without it and that’s going be the problem and I think that that’s going to when that starts setting in it’ll go you’ve been we’ve been seeing meetings around the country where people are just really getting upset because again when I said one day thousands of people got laid off now I’m I’m I live in the hood I mean I ain’t gonna say all that when I say I live in the hood I’m gonna give it more respect than that I live in the city the city all I live in the city yeah but it’s still the Greater Cleveland I
00:51:55 live greater in all one big urban area as far as I’m concerned it’s Urban Greater Cleveland I live in Greater Cleveland but what I what what I’m saying to that is I haven’t met many people that I know of who has been affected by that and I know there have been some right but I’m bet you there’s more of the other races that can say hey this affected somebody they know more effective than than we do we’ve been fighting to try to get in the government and things these days that’s one of the things we’ve been trying to do and get more into it we’ve been trying to get more in the union
00:52:31 jobs they took Dei and stuff away but when you look at that we only was getting less than one or two perc of that anyway when they start breaking down to the little crumbs that they did take away it means a lot and don’t get me wrong because I want everything that I got coming to me that’s for sure and so that ain’t what I’m saying but I think the overall effect I think will affect so many many people that I think it’ll get changed a lot quicker than what it is I think I think this is when when The Temper temp is over with okay then I think things will kind of shake itself back out a
00:53:08 little bit and I think we just made some progress with people being able to get more money you know for those jobs but I just think that with all these Mass layoffs and the things that are doing they’re trying to you know go back to giving people people crumbs where they’re not even making a living wage because that was the kind of the big thing during Biden’s Administration was making sure people have a living wage so you know they don’t have to do two and three jobs they can have one good job they can take care of their family they could pay their bills pay their mortgage and
00:53:46 actually save money but now you putting people right back into that predicament where they’re laid off and they have to get unemployment and they’re not making that living wage MH so I just think that it’s horrible to as they would say take two steps forward and then take five steps back you know just that quick so no they they ain’t gonna have no choice because from what I’ve been looking in at these meetings they’ve been having it’s been really really bad hey we gonna take a really quick break real quick and when we come back with this break I’m
00:54:20 gonna give you my final thought and we gonna get up out of here yes sir all right we’ll be right back what’s on your mind this State Cleveland let’s talk art culture politics and business on the Strategic moves with Kow radio show call us on 95.9 FM wovu stream live at w.org or comment on our social media let’s hear from you this is Terry Miss Terry Miss 411 turn it up wobu family we’re celebrating seven amazing years of w bu 95.9 FM the the heartbeat of our community let’s keep the music playing the stories flowing and the energy High happy anniversary wobu Mission
